Environmental Change

Higher developed countries tend to be cleaner than low developed countries. They have more money to pay for cleaner sanitation. By eliminating the amount of trash in the higher developed countries, they tend to throw away excess trash into poorer countries. Since poor countries pay less to clean up their environmental surroundings, their area just turns even more polluted than before. This is due to the fact that these poor countries get paid for trash to get thrown into their area instead of keeping the garbage in the higher developed countries. Once the trash is thrown in countries with weaker environmental control, this worsens the pollution in these low developed countries. They allow other countries to take advantage over them and allow incoming trash since they are more vulnerable and have less power compared to the higher developed countries.

  1. It was shocking to hear that, so you mean also in Philippines slum areas, part of those trashes come from other countries with getting paid? How much do they get paid? Now I know the reason why LEDCs usually have more trashes than in MEDCs
